WHY WEARING BRAS IS BAD FOR WOMEN

A 15-year study has revealed that bras provide no benefit at all to
the breast but rather makes them sag and does little to alleviate back
pain.
According to the study, women who wear bras have saggier breasts than
women who don't. The French study follows findings from British
researchers that suggest bras might
pose cancer risks.

Cardiff University Prof. Robert Mansel and Simon Cawthorn, from
Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, asked 100 women to ban their bras for
three months and then return to wearing one for another three months.
On average, the women were pain free more (about seven percent more)
without a bra.
Professor Jean-Denis Rouillon, from the University of Besancon, who
led the 15-year study into women's breasts said, "Medically,
physiologically, anatomically, breasts gain no benefit from being
denied gravity. On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra".
The lengthy study involved 330 women aged 18-35, whose breasts were
measured at regular intervals with a slide rule and caliper.

The study found that women who went braless had better muscle tone and
higher lift than those who wore bras.
Those who didn't wear bras saw a nipple lift of about 7 mm a year
towards the shoulder. Their breasts also became firmer, and stretch
marks faded.
The research is still preliminary, Rouillon said, adding that he
doesn't advise all women to stop wearing bras, at least not yet.

One of the women who participated said, " I breathe more easily. I
carry myself better and I have less back pain."
The doctors say there might be a correlation between breast pain and
developing breast cancer, although they didn't connect bras and cancer
directly.

BELGIAN MODEL PUTS JAY-Z ON A BLAST, CLAIMS HE SPENT THOUSAND DOLLARS ON HER AND FRIENDS

Jay Z bought drinks for a Belgian model and her friends at a nite club
and the lady did an interview about it like he's trying to leave his
wife...

From The Mirror

Jay Z is said to have bought drinks for a beauty queen amid rumours
about his marriage to Beyonce. The rapper spent more than $8,000 on
champagne while partying with gorgeous model Claudia Scheelen in
Antwerp's Magic nightclub last month.
Claudia, 27, told the Mirror: "I was with my girlfriends and he sent
over a drink to us - he had this huge bottle of Ace of Spades
champagne, it must have been six or ten litres.
"He told me 'I've been all over the entire world, but the girls in
Antwerp are the prettiest girls.'"Claudia says Jay Z didn't talk about
his wife or one-year-old daughter when they met. "He didn't mention
Beyonce or Blu once," she added

BLACK MODELS GO NAKED TO PROTEST RACISM IN FASHION INDUSTRY

About 40 black models, most of them women, staged a topless protest in
Rio de Janeiro against the low presence of Afro-Brazilians on fashion
catwalks.
"What strikes you, your racism or me?" one of the female demonstrators
wrote on her chest during the protest late Wednesday timed to coincide
with Rio Fashion Week.
The demonstration also coincided with the signing of a deal between
the Fashion Week organizers and the Rio ombudsman's office setting a
10 percent quota for black models in fashion shows, the G1 news
website reported.
"This agreement crowns a joint initiative that can open a space that
does not yet exist," said Moises Alcuna, a spokesman for Educafro, a
civil rights group championing the labor and educational rights of
blacks and indigenous people.

More than half of Brazil's 200 million people are of African descent,
the world's second largest black population after that of Nigeria.

But Afro-Brazilians complain of widespread racial inequality.
"If we are buying clothes, why can't we parade in the (fashion)
shows," asked a 15-year-old model taking part in the protest. "Does
that mean that only white women can sell and the rest of us can only
buy?"
"Claiming to showcase Brazilian fashion without the real Brazilians
amounts to showing Brazilian fashion (only) with white models," said
Jose Flores, a 25-year-old former model who now works in advertising.

After 13 years of debate, President Dilma Rousseff last year signed a
controversial law that reserves half of seats in federal universities
to public school students, with priority given to Afro-Brazilians and
indigenous people.
In June 2009, the Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW)– Latin America's
premier fashion event — for the first time imposed quotas requiring at
least 10 percent of the models to be black or indigenous.

Previously, only a handful of black models featured among the 350 or
so that sashayed down the catwalk — usually less than three percent.
But in 2010, the 10 percent quota was removed, after a conservative
prosecutor deemed it unconstitutional.

EX FACE OF AFRICA OLUCHI ORLANDI INSULTS JOURNALIST AT SHOW'S PREMIERE

Less than three weeks after Nigerian international model, Oluchi
Onweagba-Orlandi launched a series of attacks on Twitter and called
her fellow Africans animals, she, on Friday 8 November, re-enacted her
saucy side as she insulted a group of journalists who were at the
premiere of her new show, Africa's Next Top Model.

Oluchi, who was the chief hostess at the weekend event held at Pravada
Lounge on Victoria Island, Lagos, created an ugly drama as she snubbed
the media reps who had asked to be treated well after being made to
stand while others were on their seats during the delayed press
conference.

It was gathered that the whole drama started after the model, who came
far late into the event, caused the organisers to move the earlier
scheduled media briefing into the noisy main hall of the night club.
And of course, the journalists were not comfortable with the
arrangement considering the boisterous crowd and noise.

After about three questions and her impolite responses, the newsmen
stopped  asking questions.

Oluchi sensed their coldness and then asked if there were further
questions, to which one of the journalists expressed disgust over the
humiliation they had been subjected to.

Rather than apologise, Oluchi angrily muttered:
"I am only here to party and not to be answering questions."

And she walked away leaving the angry journalists in the middle of the club.

When the organizers went to confer with her, she remained adamant.

Even when the whole scenario was reported to the  publisher of a
fashion and lifestyle magazine, and our correspondent was invited to
iron out the matter, Oluchi threw caution to the winds when she told
the reporter, "Don't touch me please," when she was about to be
stopped from walking away for the second time.

"Oluchi should be world class…she should be able to control herself in
public no matter how upset she is. It's called anger management," said
a concerned guest who observed the drama at the event.
It was learnt that Oluchi has a record of bad temperament and is said
to be hostile to journalists.

That was what manifested when she threw caution to the winds with her
recent outburst on Twitter. Her series on Twitter read:

"I am disgusted. DISGUSTED by human behaviour…Africans be like "no
funds no meetings"… MONEY is not the root of evil. "Greedy Humans" are
the root of evil… Hopefully I won't throw up soon. Bunch of
inconsiderate animals!!!!…They know price tag of everything and the
VALUE of nothing!!!…Incompetent idiots. Ugly souls. Monsters in human
forms!…They won't let me enjoy my beauty sleep!"

And she got a lot of bashing for her coarse tweets.
One Akindele wrote then:

"This girl is just a fool…so because you marry Oyibo now, folks back
home are now 'Africans'? Shame, a Nigerian should be propagating this
sort of ignorance. Can't she just say 'These guys' or even be specific?
But she would rather tag all Africans, feeding into stereotypes of
racists around her. Nonsense, is Africa one country? How many Africans
have she met? Village girl made into Face of Africa."
